Montréal, May 1, 2025 – Air Transat, voted 2024 World's Best Leisure Airline by Skytrax, is consolidating its leadership in the French Antilles with an innovative route from Québec City. The airline is the first to offer a direct connection between Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) and Martinique Aimé Césaire International Airport (FDF). The weekly flight, which is now available for booking, will operate on Sundays from December 14, 2025, to April 26, 2026.
YQB is Trial Site for New Customized Screening Line

OTTAWA, February 27, 2025 —The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) is trialling a new customized screening line, designed so that airports with limited space can employ advanced technology and equipment while enhancing the passenger experience. The Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) is the first airport in Canada to trial this new line that offers the benefits of a CATSA Plus screening line by allowing multiple (up to three) passengers to place their belongings in screening bins at the same time.

Air Transat Takes Off to Tulum from Montreal and Québec City

Montreal, December 23, 2024 – Air Transat, voted 2024 World's Best Leisure Airline by Skytrax, inaugurates its seasonal flights to Tulum, with three weekly departures from Montreal and one from Québec City, from December to April. With an already established presence in Acapulco, Cancún, Cozumel, and Puerto Vallarta, the airline is expanding its offerings to southern Mexico, a popular region for travel enthusiasts.
